Merrick has headed up Bellerive Finance since inception. Merrick was head of Stenham Business Finance division (the predecessor of Bellerive Finance) for more than a decade. He also worked extensively with the company’s private client network.
Merrick also has private equity interests in e-commerce, with a particular focus on online gaming and ancillary businesses.
Merrick is from South Africa and holds a B.Comm from the University of Natal and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1981, while serving articles at Arthur Andersen. After doing national service at the South African Revenue Service, he began his career in commerce, before immigrating to the UK in 1988.
Merrick is a member of the ICAEW and SAICA.
Iryna joined Bellerive in May 2016 to oversee group accounting and financial reporting functions of the Bellerive Group.
Iryna is a qualified chartered accountant (FCCA) with 8 years of post-qualified experience working for a number of large corporate entities in London, Abu Dhabi and now in Guernsey.
Originally from Ukraine, Iryna graduated from the National Kiev University with a Master’s degree in Linguistics in 2003 and completed her ACCA professional qualification in London.
Dave is the MLRO and Head of Compliance for Bellerive.
Dave graduated from Salford University with a degree in Business Studies, then worked for Lloyds Trust Company for 16 years in a variety of fiduciary, banking and investment roles.
Prior to joining Bellerive in June 2016 Dave worked for ABN AMRO for 18 years, originally in fiduciary administration, before specialising in compliance from 2001 and later becoming Head of Compliance for the Guernsey banking and investment operation for 7 years.
Dave has obtained the International Compliance Association International Diploma in Compliance, and the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction.
Christine joined Bellerive Finance in 2011, formerly Stenham Financial Services. She manages the Guernsey office and is a part qualified accountant.
She was a senior member of the accounts team for Stenham Ltd (an International Wealth Management group) for 4 years prior to joining Bellerive.
Christine has a varied background in accounting; previous positions have included an Accounting Manager at the Head Office of Specsavers, and audit and accounts preparation at a local accounting practice.
Prior to joining Bellerive in May 2018, Stephanie worked in the fiduciary sector primarily performing management and administration for large trust and company portfolios before moving into super yacht management. After gaining over 10 years’ experience in these industries combined and working with a wide variety of clients and intermediaries internationally, Stephanie decided to specialise and concentrate her skills in compliance.
Stephanie has obtained the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) International Trust Management Diploma as well as the STEP Certificate in Foundations and STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes.
