The Bellerive Group was created as the result of a management buyout from Stenham Group. Stenham was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century as a confirming house and buying agent, evolving eventually into a trade finance, wealth management and investment business a century later. The Trade Finance and Lending division was sold to Bellerive in 2011 and formed the basis of the new group.


The main operating companies are Bellerive Finance Limited, Bellerive Global Services Ltd and Bellerive Capital Ltd.

Bellerive Group Holdings Ltd, registered in Guernsey, is the ultimate parent company.

Bellerive Finance Limited is a UK company registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for anti-money laundering purposes and carries on the main trade finance activity of the Group.

Bellerive Global Trading Ltd, a Guernsey based company, also provides trade finance facilities using special purpose funding instruments. It is registered with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission as a non-regulated financial services business.

Bellerive Global Services Ltd, a Guernsey company, provides short-term lending and guarantee facilities. It is registered with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission as a non-regulated financial services business.

Bellerive Capital Ltd, a Guernsey company, is a private equity and joint venture investor.

Bellerive Finance (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa, carries on trade finance operations and operates under a blanket authority for provision of trade finance from the South African Reserve bank.
